Department of Psychological Medicine

Living with facial palsy can be hard. Looking at the emotional issues can be very helpful in understanding your experiences and developing ways to cope.  This session will be a chance to discuss the challenges you are facing, new ways of dealing with them, and how to access further help. We understand that it can be difficult to start to talk about these issues. So, if you have any questions or comments which you would like us to address then please include them when you register your interest. Examples may be ‘How do I cope with people staring at me?’ ‘I don’t feel like myself anymore’ or ‘I feel so worried when meeting new people’. All questions and comments will remain anonymous in the session.

Who for? The main support groups cater for people over the age of 18, or 16 and over if accompanied by an appropriate adult. Please contact us if you are planning on attending so we can ensure you are added to our register and kept updated of any changes. Thank you.
