Facial Palsy UK’s Vision
A society where facial palsy is widely recognised and every person in the UK affected can access the information, treatment and support they need.
Why do we exist?
Established in 2012, Facial Palsy UK is the only charity doing the specific work that we do. We all have a 1 in 60 lifetime chance of developing Bell’s palsy, the most common cause of facial paralysis. But in reality there are more than 50 different causes of facial palsy with misdiagnosis being a frequent issue reported by patients in our regular surveys. NHS pathways of care are poor or non-existent for this patient group and there are very few specialist services. Find out more about our work and why it is so important by visiting our about us page.
