Double your donation to Facial Palsy UK in the Big Give’s Christmas Campaign

Facial Palsy UK are taking part in the Big Give Christmas Campaign to raise £10,000 in just 1 week!

These funds will be used to host a Family Day for children and adults with Facial Palsy. Many people with Facial Palsy have never met anyone else with the condition and these events give them the chance to see that they are not alone on this journey. They are also a vital lifeline for parents of children with Facial Palsy:

I was born with facial palsy in 1969. My mother told me once when I asked why there were no photos of me, that she didn’t want me to look at photos and think my facial palsy looked worse than it was. It made me feel invisible.

With the benefit of experience, I can see that my mother lived in times where there was no support, she didn’t know anyone else with a child with a face like mine. She didn’t know how to cope and she did what she thought was best.

It has made me reflect on why our Family Days are so important, the support is not just for the children, it is for adults too.

Donations to our 2025 Family Day will be generously matched by the Hospital Saturday Fund during the campaign, meaning your money can support twice as many people with Facial Palsy.

This year we’re looking to raise a total of £10,000. In order to access the £5,000 we have in the matching pot, we need to raise £5,000 in online donations. We hope everyone will give generously to help us reach our target and enable us to carry on the work we all feel so passionately about.
