9 year old Mel Fraser was born with facial palsy and lives in the north of Aberdeenshire, in Scotland. When Mel heard about the charity Facial Palsy UK she decided she wanted to raise some funds for a cause very close to her own heart, in her words she said “I hope this money helps to find a cure for facial palsy and help treatment.”
When Mel’s mum phoned us to say that we would soon be receiving a cheque we thought she said that Mel had raised about £70 and we thought that was amazing. However, yesterday we received a cheque for an incredible £721.50! It seems that Mel has been very busy, she climbed the stunning mountain Bennachie and also organised two bottle stalls!
We want to say a really big thank you to Mel for raising this fantastic amount for Facial Palsy UK, she is an inspiration to us all!
