Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

December 22, 2015

Thank you to everyone who has supported Facial Palsy UK throughout the year. It has been a memorable year with the launch of the first ever Facial Palsy Awareness Week in March which was a global success. Facial Palsy Awareness Week 2016 is planned for 1-7 March and more details will be available in January.

If you or a loved one are suddenly affected by facial palsy during the Christmas break, please ensure you access medical help immediately, don’t delay. With Bell’s palsy, steroids should be started within 72 hours for an improved chance of recovery.

Our offices and support telephone line are closed from 2pm on 23 December until Monday 4 January 2016 although we will be monitoring emails daily for people requiring urgent support. Telephone messages will be checked and urgent support enquiries responded to on Wednesday 30 December and then again on Monday 4 January.

Thank you again for your support this year, we hope you all have a restful holiday and we look forward to working hard to support people affected by facial palsy next year.
